Obituary for Ayana Sharie Mitchell Stephens

Ayana Sharie Mitchell Stephens was born to the late Jeanette Dixon and David Mitchell on November 10, 1980, in Tallahassee, Florida at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She transitioned from this earthly life to be in the presence of the Lord , on Monday, June 25, 2018.

Ayana was educated in the public schools of Gadsden County and was a graduate and member of the Havana Northside High School Class of 1999. Ayana attended Gadsden Technical Institute for her Health Care Training, where she studied Health Care Administration and worked at several Health Care Facilities in the Quincy and Tallahassee areas before moving to Tampa, Florida.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her loving and beautiful children: De’Ja Baker and Avion Stephens; father: David Mitchell; husband: Calvin Stephens; mother-in-law: Caroline Stephens; sister: Sharon Buchanan (Terry); brothers: Anthony Dixon, Rodney Dixon, Tyrone Mitchell (Andrea) and David Mitchell, Jr. (Donna); and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousin and friends.

Ayana will be remembered for her charming personality, her beautiful laughter, her wits and amazing sense of humor.
